The Colby Community College Board of Trustees is composed of six individuals from Thomas County. They serve the college and community at no remuneration and exhibit diligence, patience, and dependability in advancing the interests of the college and its many constituents in northwest Kansas. Board meetings are held the third Monday of each month.

CINDY BLACK
Cindy Black is the owner of High Plains Printing located in Colby, Kansas. She is the current Board of Trustees’ president and has acted as liaison to the Endowment Foundation.. Cindy has served on the CCC board since 2005.

DALE HERSCHBERGER
The newest board member is the owner of ZEZ Commodities located in Colby, Kansas.

KENTON KREHBIEL
Kenton Krehbiel has served as a CCC trustee since 1992. Many of those years he served as board president. Kenton is Postmaster for the City of Colby and is active in the Kiwanis Club and the Pierre C. Henry Foundation.

ARLEN LEIKER
Arlen Leiker acts as the board’s current Kansas Association of Community College Trustees’ representative. He is a UPS driver who has served on the Board of Trustees since 2007.

BILL SHIELDS
Bill Shields began his first term in July, 2009. Bill is a manager with Crop Production Services.

MARK WINGER
Mark Winger is Senior Vice President of Administration at Farm Credit of Western Kansas. He became a trustee of the college in 2006, filling a vacated position. He has served as the board’s treasurer since July of 2006.
